Terms of Service
Last updated: August 23, 2026
These Terms govern access to BetterMeter, operated by Paraito Inc. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference.
1. The service
BetterMeter provides analytics for websites, CLIs, MCP servers, and APIs through a dashboard, CLI, MCP tools, SDKs, tracking endpoints, Pulse AI, Live Mode, conversion goals, visitor profiles, campaign and visibility reports, integrations, and Builder dashboards and reports. Features, limits, and availability vary by plan and configuration.
We may improve, add, remove, or replace features. We will give reasonable notice when a material change substantially reduces a paid service, unless immediate action is needed for security, law, or third-party availability.
2. Accounts and authority
- You must provide accurate account information, protect credentials and API keys, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
- You must be at least 16 and have authority to bind the organization you represent.
- Account owners control team access and are responsible for activity performed through their account, subject to BetterMeter's own security obligations.
- You may not transfer or resell an account without our written approval.
3. Customer data and privacy
You retain rights in data you submit or collect through the service. You instruct BetterMeter to process it to provide, secure, support, and improve the requested service. Our Privacy Policy explains our own processing; the DPA applies where BetterMeter processes personal data on your behalf.
You are responsible for the lawfulness, accuracy, notices, consent and other choices associated with your implementation. Do not submit sensitive data, direct identifiers, confidential material, or third-party content unless you have authority and the service is appropriate for that data.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not break the law, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, impersonate others, or use BetterMeter for unlawful surveillance.
- Do not interfere with the service, bypass access or usage controls, probe systems without written authorization, distribute malware, or submit deliberately abusive traffic.
- Do not use outputs as the sole basis for decisions that create legal or similarly significant effects about a person.
- Use published APIs, SDKs, and automation interfaces within documented limits.
5. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid subscriptions renew for the selected monthly or annual period until canceled. Prices, currencies, taxes, event limits, seats, sites, retention, and included features are shown at checkout and in the service. Stripe processes payments. Except where law requires otherwise or a written order says differently, fees already paid are non-refundable.
You can change or cancel a plan through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. You must cancel an active subscription before self-service account deletion so billing does not continue after the account is gone.
6. Integrations and AI-assisted output
Third-party integrations are optional and subject to the provider's terms, permissions, limits, and availability. You authorize BetterMeter to exchange the data required for the operation you request. Disconnecting an integration stops future access but may not delete records already imported or held by that provider.
Pulse and other generated outputs may be incomplete or wrong. Verify material findings before acting. BetterMeter does not provide legal, financial, medical, employment, or other professional advice.
7. Ownership and feedback
BetterMeter and its licensors own the service, software, documentation, branding, and related intellectual property. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your account term.
You may provide feedback, and you grant us permission to use it without obligation or attribution. This does not give us ownership of your customer data.
8. Availability, suspension, and termination
The service is provided on an as-available basis. Unless a signed order expressly includes one, no service-level agreement applies. We may suspend access to address security risk, abuse, unpaid fees, legal requirements, or a material breach. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure.
You may stop using the service at any time. On termination, access ends and data is handled under the Privacy Policy, DPA, active retention settings, and applicable law.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted and error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. BetterMeter's aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the fees paid for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where they are prohibited by law.
10. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Montreal, Quebec have exclusive jurisdiction unless mandatory law requires another forum.
We may update these Terms and will post the effective date. For a material change, we will provide reasonable notice where required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you do not agree, stop using the service and cancel before the change takes effect.
